We have settled on a Go Live Date for the Koha migration. We have two actually! The first date is Monday, January 17 which is Martin Luther King Day. Any libraries that are open on the 17th will be opening on Koha. Libraries that are closed on MLK Day will open on Koha on Tuesday, January 18.
This two phase process will allow us to provide a better Go Live experience. We plan to have staff on site at as many libraries as possible on Go Live day and opening over two days allows us to cover more libraries. Go Live support calls will be spread over two days. When we get closer to the Go Live, we will determine which libraries are open on MLK Day and set up an on-site schedule for the week.
The updated Migration schedule is posted under More Information on this blog. We will continue to modify it as we have more specific information. For example, the acquisitions migration plan still needs to be worked out.
Blog posts in future weeks will discuss the various migration cutover processes in detail.
