• 5/28/2020 The minutes from the May CSS Meeting are available online.
• 5/27/2020 The minutes from the May DIS Meeting are available online.
• 5/27/2020 May due date extension.  Based on responses to a survey sent out last week, twelve libraries requested that all materials checked out from their location have the due date extended to July 1, 2020.  Twenty-two locations requested due date extensions to August 1, 2020.  We will offer the option to extend due dates again in mid-to-late June.
• 5/26/2020 3,243 bibliographic records were newly cataloged and/or updated in the database between 4/29/20 and 5/25/20.
• 5/26/2020 5,692 items and 464 bibliographic records (with only withdrawn items attached) were deleted in the monthly batch deletion of withdrawn items.

Curbside Pickup workflow and new report to assist in filling Local Holds

The Pandemic Support for ILS webpage has been updated to provide new curbside workflow information about check-ins, filling local holds and checkouts.

A new report, Local Holds for Curbside, has been added to the list of On Demand reports in Bibliovation. This report may be run after you’ve filled the local holds from your regular Holds Queue report. It will list active holds for pickup at your library where your library owns an available copy of the item, but may have been already trapped for a hold at another library on your Holds Queue Report. You can fill more holds at your library with local materials while delivery is running a reduced schedule.

Linking Manual updated/BSE template added for Audio-enabled books

Two sections of the Linking Manual have been updated according to recent policy changes:

• Section VII: Sound Recordings now includes audio-enabled books.
• Section VIII: Videorecordings has had video media players removed.

A BSE template has also been added for audio-enabled books!

• 4/28/2020 2,037 bibliographic records were newly cataloged and/or updated in the database between 4/6/20 and 4/27/20.
• 4/28/2020 2,207 bibliographic records with no items attached (that were created before 1/1/20) were deleted from the database.
• 4/28/2020 5,208 items and 540 bibliographic records (with only withdrawn items attached) were deleted in the monthly batch deletion of withdrawn items.

• The U.S. Census Bureau has discontinued access to American FactFinder - the tools many libraries used to determine a PSTAT for patron records.  Please read the LINKcat News blog post for a list of optional replacements for finding this information.
