New Collection Codes available in Bibliovation

New Collection Codes are now available in Bibliovation:

• BAEJWL - BOOK/AUDIO-ENABLED JU WORLD LANG - World Languages Audio-Enabled Books
• DAPJWL - DIGITAL AUDIO JU WORLD LANG - World Languages Digital Audio Players

These Collection Codes were approved by the ILS Committee at its December 2022 meeting.

These Collection Codes can be used by any LINKcat library. For a full list of Collection Codes, see the ILS Support Codes page at https://www.scls.info/ils/codes.

If you would like SCLS staff to batch change a group of items from an existing Collection Code to one of the new codes, please fill out the Batch Change Collection Code/Shelving Location/Item Type Request form, available from the ILS Forms page.

Linking Manual/BSE template updated for 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays

Section VIII: Videorecordings of the Linking Manual has been updated to include information on 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays, which can now be added to the catalog on individual records instead of a generic one after a policy update approved at the December ILS Committee meeting.

The main changes include:

• 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays should not be linked to records for any other kind of videorecording (DVD, regular Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, etc.) and vice versa.
• When creating a BSE record for 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays, the 245 (title) statement in parentheses of "(DVD or Blu-ray or 4K UHD)" should be edited to be "(4K UHD)", and the 250 (edition) should have "4K Ultra HD" in it.
